Mobility Panel Germany

Every year from 1994 to 2022, the German Mobility Panel collected information on when, why and by which means of transport people in Germany travel. To this end, households were asked about their mobility behaviour in everyday life. Household members filled out a diary in which they recorded all their journeys over the course of a week. With this information, they made an important contribution to the sensible design of transport systems. In addition, the MOP collected annual data on vehicle mileage and fuel consumption in private households. On this page, you will find the MOP annual reports for the last five years. Older MOP annual reports can be found at www.mobilitaetspanel.de.
