An inquiry was conducted to identify target groups of electric vehicles. Based on previous attitude-based segmentation approaches in transport research participants were asked about their attitudes, priorities and emotions towards five transport modes (i.e. conventional car, electric vehicles, car sharing, public transport and bicycle). By means of cluster analysis we identified four different mobility types. Moreover, specific questions regarding the acceptance, interest and policy interventions for electric vehicles were asked.
